Faced with Feng Jiu’s conditions, Ye Ling could only smile wryly.
He should have known better than to casually reveal his cooking skills. Who would have thought it would awaken Feng Jiu’s foodie nature?
Especially last night, when Feng Jiu didn’t eat to her satisfaction and kept making a fuss, leaving Ye Ling quite distressed.
“Alright, alright! I agree to everything you said, is that enough?”
Compared to Feng Jiu, Blood Phantom was simply adorable—obedient and beautiful, never opposing any of Ye Ling’s commands.
Upon hearing Ye Ling agree to her demands, Feng Jiu finally descended from the sky.
She landed steadily on the ground, looking very pleased.
“But you promised, don’t go back on your word, or… watch out, I’ll peck you.”
As if wanting to give Ye Ling a warning in advance, Feng Jiu deliberately spoke with a fierce tone.
A spiritual pet daring to openly threaten its master like this—Feng Jiu might just be the first.
“Alright, Jiu, since I’ve agreed to your conditions, I won’t go back on my word.”
With that, Ye Ling unceremoniously climbed onto the spot between Feng Jiu’s neck and body.
Feeling something on her neck, Feng Jiu was slightly uncomfortable and shook her neck.
After a brief adjustment, Feng Jiu flapped her wings and soared into the sky once more.
Blood Phantom naturally wouldn’t lag behind, slowly following alongside Feng Jiu.
“Over there, let’s see what those things are.”
Pointing in a direction, Ye Ling said.
Following Ye Ling’s finger, Feng Jiu responded.
“Got it, hold on tight.”
Feng Jiu flew in the direction Ye Ling had indicated.
Riding on Feng Jiu and being held by Blood Phantom were two completely different experiences.
For the first time, Ye Ling felt like he had a flying mount, and the feeling… was incredibly comfortable.
Since the distance wasn’t too far, they soon arrived near the group of creatures.
On the ground, several fierce demons had surrounded another group of demons, seemingly preparing to launch an attack.
Seeing those fierce demons, Ye Ling couldn’t help but frown and mutter to himself.
“Five in total, at least Second Rank Third Level Flame Lions, and the other group, mostly First Rank Earth-Shaking Bulls, with a few around Second Rank First Level.”
He hadn’t expected Second Rank demons to be so common in the Second Rank Secret Realm.
Encountering a group casually, there were quite a few Second Rank demons among them.
Compared to the previous Wild Wolves, Ye Ling now realized that the Wild Wolves were really nothing.
“As expected of the Second Rank Secret Realm, the danger level far exceeds that of the First Rank Secret Realm.”
Understanding the danger of the Second Rank demon group below, Ye Ling had no intention of leaving.
With Blood Phantom and Feng Jiu, plus himself, dealing with these demons wasn’t impossible, though a bit of caution was necessary.
Perhaps… when the crane and clam fight, the fisherman benefits?
The Flame Lions on the ground seemed to be growing impatient, each baring sharp teeth and claws, ready to attack.
The Earth-Shaking Bulls, on the other hand, huddled tightly together, the strongest bull standing on the outermost layer, ready to face the Flame Lions’ attack.
Both groups of demons had noticed Feng Jiu in the sky.
However, they didn’t pay too much attention, as Feng Jiu hadn’t shown any hostility yet.
“Roar!!”
The largest Flame Lion seemed unable to hold back, letting out a furious roar and launching the first attack.
Its target was the strongest Earth-Shaking Bull in the group.
As the largest Flame Lion attacked, the other Flame Lions seemed to be rallied, each launching their own attacks.
Balls of flame gathered around the Flame Lions, then hurled at the surrounded Earth-Shaking Bulls at high speed.
“Moo!!”
The Earth-Shaking Bulls showed no sign of surrender, stamping their hooves heavily on the ground.
Chunks of solid rock suddenly rose from the ground.
Enclosing the Earth-Shaking Bulls tightly within, the balls of flame crashed onto the suddenly appeared rocks.
“Boom boom boom!!”
“Boom boom boom!”
Each ball of flame caused a small explosion upon hitting the rocks.
Fortunately, the rocks were sturdy enough that the small explosions from one or two balls of flame weren’t enough to break through.
However, the Flame Lions showed no sign of stopping their attack.
The Earth-Shaking Bulls were merely holding on with difficulty.
Facing such frequent bombardment, even the sturdy rocks couldn’t hold out.
With each explosion, fragments of rock flew everywhere.
Dust rose, and due to the explosions, smoke drifted upwards, completely obscuring the Flame Lions and Earth-Shaking Bulls.
Especially for Ye Ling, sitting on Feng Jiu and flying above, it was quite frustrating, as the rising smoke made it impossible to see the situation below.
“Spiritual Vision!”
With no other choice, Ye Ling had to activate his Spiritual Vision.
