Chapter 131 – Grateful, Target Sacred City

Previously, Yun Yi had thought that at most she could get into an advanced Spirit Tamer Academy. She never expected such a pleasant surprise.

She was actually admitted to Vermilion Bird Academy!

If this isn’t a stroke of luck, what is? It even left her a bit bewildered.

Even her father, the head of the Yun Family, was taken aback.

Neither father nor daughter had ever imagined that Yun Yi would be admitted to Vermilion Bird Academy.

But after a bit of analysis, they understood why.

There were simply too few girls in the top ten, and since it wasn’t certain that Hong Xiu could be recruited, they settled for Yun Yi.

The main reason was that Yun Yi’s own strength was not weak. Otherwise, no matter what, Hong Xiu wouldn’t have admitted her.

But Hong Xiu had another consideration: Ye Ling.

Vermilion Bird Academy had made an unprecedented move by recruiting a male student. Without other female students, it wouldn’t sound good.

Huo Xian’er was already bound to Black Tortoise Academy, and Zhang Shengnan’s choice of academy was still undecided.

So, to avoid the awkwardness of having no female students, Hong Xiu added another recruit, Yun Yi.

This is why Yun Yi suddenly felt grateful to Ye Ling.

Upon hearing this, Ye Ling thought for a moment and understood why.

But it didn’t have much to do with him; it was just a coincidence.

Shaking his head slightly, Ye Ling didn’t take credit for it.

“No need to thank me. You deserve it. Your strength isn’t weak. If you hadn’t met me, you would definitely have been in the top ten.”

Ye Ling wasn’t flattering Yun Yi; it was simply the truth.

If she hadn’t encountered him, Yun Yi’s strength would have easily placed her in the top ten.

It was just bad luck that she ran into him.

Apart from Vermilion Bird Academy, many other advanced academies had almost all filled in Yun Yi’s name.

If Hong Xiu hadn’t intervened at the last moment, Yun Yi would have already joined another advanced Spirit Tamer Academy by now.

So it was clear that Yun Yi’s strength was indeed not weak.

“Well then… good night, rest early.”

In a very good mood, Yun Yi waved at Ye Ling and said good night.

“Mm, good night.”

Ye Ling nodded.

Then, Yun Yi smiled knowingly and hopped towards her room.

“Beep beep!”

The door opened, and Yun Yi eagerly walked in, carefully closing the door behind her.

Now, only Ye Ling was left. He took out the card Hong Xiu had given him earlier and approached the door.

“Beep beep!”

Using the card to open the door, he walked in and closed it behind him.

This clean and tidy but not large room didn’t bother Ye Ling at all.

After all, the room he used to live in at Skyshine City wasn’t big either.

Moreover, being on an airship, the room couldn’t be too large.

With such accommodations, Ye Ling had no complaints.

What Ye Ling didn’t know was that only the more advanced academies had such complete facilities on their airships.

Only these advanced academies could provide each student with their own room on the airship.

As for the lower-level academies, they didn’t have this treatment; it was impossible for each person to have their own room.

When there were more students, two or even three people had to share a room.

So compared to those students, Ye Ling and the others having their own rooms was a much better deal.

All the airships were now flying above Skyshine City.

Among these academies, only the four top-tier academies needed to fly to Sacred City.

The other Spirit Tamer Academies, mostly from big cities, naturally didn’t head to Sacred City.

Among all the academies in the Federation, only the four top-tier academies could recruit from higher education institutions in various cities within the Federation.

Other than the four top-tier academies, the recruitment areas of other academies were fixed.

They would be assigned specific academies to recruit from specific cities.

Most of the airships were returning in all directions, including the one Chen Zhi was on.

The airships of the four top-tier academies, however, were heading straight back to Sacred City.

A blue energy, similar to spiritual power, spurted out from the thrusters at the rear, generating immense propulsion.

Under this tremendous propulsion, the four large airships set off at high speed.

They turned into streams of light, disappearing into the night, vanishing into the horizon.

The sky returned to its previous state, but Skyshine City had changed.

Many of the younger generation had left, and many parents whose children had left felt very lost.

Their children had suddenly left, and it was impossible not to feel sad. This feeling would take a long time to get used to.

The endless night sky, adorned with countless stars, twinkled like a beautiful night scene.

However, don’t be fooled by this seemingly beautiful night view. The greatest concern during night flights was encountering dangerous and frenzied demons.

Although flying demons were relatively rare, and this route was regularly cleared, one still couldn’t be careless.

If the airship was accidentally destroyed, it could mean being stranded in the wilderness.
