Chapter 88 – Hatred

Liu Wu didn’t dare to say a word the entire time, simply because he couldn’t.

Due to injuries sustained in the Secret Realm, Liu Wu’s body was still in pain.

But compared to being stripped of his Young Master status, this pain was nothing.

His fists were clenched tightly. If he had the strength, he would have charged forward and fought these elders to the death.

But unfortunately, he didn’t.

He was just one of the more talented members of the family, and his position as Young Master was only because his father was the head of the family.

These elders were all as strong as his father. What could he possibly use to fight them?

Seeing that the matter had been settled, the most senior among the elders stood up and said, “Alright, this matter is concluded. Head of the family, if there’s nothing else, we’ll be leaving now. I’m getting old and need more rest.”

Upon hearing this, Liu Yun quickly cupped his hands and replied, “Take care, Great Elder. Take care, everyone. I won’t see you off; I have some matters to attend to.”

As the Great Elder turned to leave, a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. He walked out of the hall slowly.

The other elders also left one after another.

Only Liu Yun and Liu Wu were left in the hall.

Watching the backs of the departing elders, Liu Yun’s eyes were filled with a fierce light.

Today, these elders had come to force him to strip his son Liu Wu of his Young Master status.

Even though he was the head of the family, he had no way to deal with so many elders.

But who could he blame? His son had made such a mistake during the assessment.

He was ninety-nine percent sure to pass the assessment, but Liu Wu had failed in that one percent.

Looking down at Liu Wu, who was kneeling in the center of the hall, Liu Yun walked up to him.

“Tell me, why were you eliminated? With your strength, protecting yourself shouldn’t have been a problem. What exactly did you do? Explain everything to me!”

The cold voice made Liu Wu, kneeling on the ground, feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, his whole body freezing.

He shivered involuntarily and didn’t dare to look at his father’s face.

Trembling, he explained, “Father, I… had bad luck. In the Secret Realm, I encountered the Black Feather Eagle, the nemesis of the Venomous Scale Python…”

After recounting everything, Liu Wu didn’t dare to make another sound.

He also mentioned that before he was eliminated, he had encountered his arch-enemy, Ye Ling.

But he didn’t say that he had left his initial position in the Secret Realm to find Ye Ling.

It was precisely because of this that he encountered the Black Feather Eagle halfway.

After hearing Liu Wu’s account, Liu Yun frowned and asked, “He didn’t help you?”

Liu Wu was at a loss for words, not knowing how to answer. In the end, he could only shake his head in denial.

At that time, he had no idea that Ye Ling would become so powerful, as if he had transformed into a different person.

If he had known, he would have thickened his skin and begged Ye Ling for help.

Losing face was nothing compared to his position as Young Master and his qualification as a Spirit Tamer.

But unfortunately, Liu Wu knew nothing at the time.

Otherwise, he might have been able to offer a certain amount of Federation Credit Points, and Ye Ling might have saved him for the sake of those points.

But time couldn’t turn back, and Liu Wu’s thoughts couldn’t become reality.

“Hmph! Get out of here! From today on, you’re no longer the Young Master of this family. Remember to restrain yourself.”

In a foul mood, Liu Yun kicked Liu Wu’s shoulder.

Liu Wu didn’t react in time and was kicked to the ground.

Feeling the pain in his shoulder, Liu Wu was filled with anger.

His father had never treated him like this before; this was the first time.

After kicking Liu Wu to the ground, Liu Yun left the hall with a cold face.

The entire hall was left with only Liu Wu.

Lying on the ground, Liu Wu was filled with rage but had nowhere to vent it.

Everything that had belonged to him was now gone.

Previously, as the Young Master of the Liu Family, he had great power, and others would generally give way to him.

Now, having lost his position, he was just a waste, and no one would look up to him.

“Ye~ Ling!”

Liu Wu’s face twisted in a demonic rage.

He blamed everything on Ye Ling.

If it weren’t for Ye Ling, he wouldn’t have encountered the Black Feather Eagle.

If it weren’t for Ye Ling, he wouldn’t have been eliminated.

If it weren’t for Ye Ling, he wouldn’t have lost his position as Young Master and his qualification as a Spirit Tamer.

Everything was because of Ye Ling.

Some people are like this, always blaming others and never considering their own faults.

Filled with hatred for Ye Ling, Liu Wu was deeply unwilling.

How could someone who was always at the bottom of the class suddenly become so powerful?

He didn’t understand and couldn’t figure it out.
