The enraged Earth Azure Dragon let out an angry roar at the Shadow Demon Wolves.
If Huo Xian’er weren’t on its back, the Earth Azure Dragon might have been able to fight back. Though not a pureblood dragon, it still possessed some Dragon Might.
Even if the Dragon Might couldn’t completely control the Shadow Demon Wolves, it would at least slow them down a bit.
Combined with its strong body, the Earth Azure Dragon might still have a fighting chance.
Dragon Might had already been unleashed earlier. Without its influence, the Earth Azure Dragon might already be lying on the ground.
The Shadow Demon Wolf leader glanced at the dead or half-dead wolves around it and howled at the sky.

Huo Xian’er closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Her right hand moved to press the emergency teleport button.

At that moment, a sudden flash of blood-red light streaked by.
“Splurt!”
Huo Xian’er heard the sound of blood spurting.
She opened her eyes in shock to see a Shadow Demon Wolf staggering, blood gushing from its neck.
The wolf collapsed to the ground, twitching a few times before lying still.
The sudden turn of events caught both Huo Xian’er and the Shadow Demon Wolf leader off guard.
Huo Xian’er was elated, sensing someone had come to her rescue.
The Shadow Demon Wolf leader, however, was furious. One of its kin had been silently killed right in front of it, a blatant disregard for its authority.
“Zzz!”
“Splurt!”
Another flash of blood-red light, the same sound followed.
The familiar scene repeated.
This time, the Shadow Demon Wolf leader finally detected the enemy’s presence.
It opened its massive maw, revealing sharp teeth, and spat out a dark energy ball aimed at a shadowy tree trunk.
“Boom!!”
As the energy ball hit the trunk, a blood shadow swiftly darted by.
The impact caused the tree to explode in half.
“Crack! Boom!”
The falling tree trunk crashed heavily to the ground.
In the Secret Realm, the trees were massive. Even a First Rank demon would be gravely injured if struck by such a large trunk.
Huo Xian’er finally saw clearly who had come to her rescue.
