Chapter 53 – Unwillingly becoming a scapegoat

Originally, Liu Wu thought someone might come to save him.

But to his dismay, the person who appeared was the one he least wanted to see—Ye Ling.

The glimmer of hope in his heart instantly turned into despair.

Seeing Ye Ling, Liu Wu had no expectations at all.

He knew very well that Ye Ling was just a First Rank Second Level waste, and his spiritual pet was merely a zombie.

Even his own Venomous Scale Python was no match for the Black Feather Eagle.

Ye Ling was even less reliable.

“Hmph! Just my luck, running into a Black Feather Eagle.”

With his exhausted Venomous Scale Python, Liu Wu had no chance of winning.

He knew he had no hope of passing the first stage of the assessment.

Although he was unwilling, compared to his life, everything else could be let go.

Liu Wu understood that failing this assessment meant losing his family’s support.

From then on, he would have no connection with the Spirit Tamer Academy.

Of course, if his family could provide a large amount of resources, Liu Wu might still have a chance.

But unfortunately, no family would be willing to invest their resources in someone who couldn’t even pass the assessment.

Even if Liu Wu’s father was the family head, it wouldn’t work.

The family head had significant power, but not enough to allocate resources to a waste who couldn’t pass the assessment.

Other family members also needed resources.

Rather than nurturing a waste, they preferred to support a capable member.

“Hmph! It’s all because of you! I got eliminated, Ye Ling, you won’t have it easy either!”

Having decided to give up the assessment, Liu Wu angrily said to Ye Ling.

If it weren’t for looking for Ye Ling, Liu Wu wouldn’t have left his initial teleportation point.

Perhaps none of this would have happened, and he wouldn’t have to leave the Secret Realm now.

Liu Wu blamed everything on Ye Ling.

He believed it was because of Ye Ling that he ended up in this situation.

Pressing his emergency teleport button, Liu Wu disappeared in a flash of light, along with his Venomous Scale Python.

After all, Spirit Tamers and their spiritual pets were bound by a contract, and recalling a pet only required a thought.

Left behind was a somewhat bewildered Ye Ling.

Goodness!

How did it become my fault? Ye Ling was confused.

He hadn’t done anything, just quietly hunting demons in the Secret Realm.

How did he suddenly become the scapegoat?

But now wasn’t the time for Ye Ling to think too much.

With Liu Wu gone, the Black Feather Eagle in the sky naturally lost its target.

And Ye Ling became its new target.

However, Ye Ling wasn’t worried at all.

Although the Black Feather Eagle was strong, it was far inferior to Blood Phantom.

Judging by the size of the Black Feather Eagle, its strength should be around First Rank Eighth Level.

No wonder it could chase Liu Wu.

The Black Feather Eagle naturally countered the Venomous Scale Python, and with a three-level advantage, Liu Wu had no chance.

It could only be said that Liu Wu was unlucky, running into his pet’s natural enemy.

It’s certain that Liu Wu’s Spirit Tamer Academy career ended here.

Besides bad luck, he could only blame his own lack of strength.

If the Venomous Scale Python were stronger, even if countered, it wouldn’t be without a fighting chance.

At least it wouldn’t have been chased around like before.

“Skree!!”

The Black Feather Eagle screeched in the sky.

Its cry was filled with anger.

After chasing its prey all night, it escaped right in front of it.

How could it not be furious!

But fortunately, there was still another prey below.

This time, the Black Feather Eagle didn’t plan to chase its food anymore.

It wanted to devour its prey in one bite.

It wouldn’t give its target another chance to escape.

Meanwhile, Liu Wu, who had been teleported to the academy square, clutched his wound and looked at the big screen.

His bloodshot eyes were filled with hatred, but a cold smile hung on his face.

Because he saw that the Black Feather Eagle had set its sights on Ye Ling.

Even if Ye Ling didn’t die, he couldn’t pass the assessment.

Liu Wu hoped Ye Ling wouldn’t press the emergency teleport button.

If so, Ye Ling would surely die.

A medical staff member approached Liu Wu and said, “Student, please come with us to treat your wound.”

But Liu Wu, with bloodshot eyes, glared at the medical staff.

He coldly shouted, “No need! I want to watch this. Don’t disturb me. Get lost!”

At this point, Liu Wu no longer cared about his image.

He just wanted to see Ye Ling either get eliminated or killed with his own eyes.

Faced with such a rebuke, the two medical staff looked at each other.

Since Liu Wu didn’t want treatment, what could they say? In the end, they left it at that.
