Chapter 41 – Spiked Pig, Venomous Scale Python

Blood Phantom transformed into a blood-red shadow, charging straight ahead without any intention of hiding.

Her speed was so fast that the Spiked Pigs couldn’t react in time.

One after another, blood-red claw marks appeared on the Spiked Pigs.

“Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Several Spiked Pigs were killed instantly, their throats slashed before they could even retaliate, collapsing to the ground.

After twitching a few times, they were lifeless.

The remaining Spiked Pigs finally realized what was happening.

Panic-stricken, they began to flee.

The largest Spiked Pig among them snorted out two streams of white mist from its nose.

Its hind legs dug into the ground, ready to pounce.

It was clear that this largest Spiked Pig was the leader of the group.

As the leader, it didn’t flee immediately but chose to confront the enemy head-on.

However, the difference in strength between the two was too great.

The Spiked Pig leader arched its back fiercely, raising its sharp, gleaming spikes.

“Swish, swish, swish!!”

Without hesitation, the Spiked Pig leader fired its spikes like arrows.

The spikes moved so fast they were almost invisible, only a series of cold gleams approaching Blood Phantom rapidly.

Ye Ling wasn’t worried at all about the Spiked Pig leader’s counterattack, not even a bit concerned for Blood Phantom.

There was no need to be.

A First Rank Fifth Level Spiked Pig leader couldn’t possibly harm Blood Phantom.

As expected, Blood Phantom swiftly raised her wide, ancient-style sleeves.

“Ding, ding, ding!!”

The sharp spikes hit the sleeves, making metallic clashing sounds.

Then, the sharp white spikes fell powerlessly to the ground.

The spikes on the Spiked Pig’s back were not infinite.

They were limited in number and needed time to replenish once used up.

Unfortunately, the Spiked Pig leader didn’t have that much time now.

Seeing its spikes had no effect, the Spiked Pig leader hesitated slightly, its limbs starting to retreat.

But it kept firing spikes, trying to block Blood Phantom’s advance and buy time to escape.

The idea was beautiful, but reality was harsh.

Blood Phantom waved her sleeves, stepping closer and closer.

The spikes couldn’t stop her at all.

Finally… the Spiked Pig’s spikes were exhausted.

Its back was bare, without a single spike left.

Blood Phantom’s white eyes stared intently at the Spiked Pig.

When Ye Ling couldn’t see her face, Blood Phantom showed a hint of interest.

If Ye Ling saw her now, he might find her expression strange.

Blood Phantom looked increasingly human, even capable of showing expressions similar to humans.

This indicated that as Blood Phantom grew stronger, her intelligence was also developing.

The Spiked Pig was sweating profusely, desperately wanting to escape.

But if it turned around, it would expose its weakness.

It hesitated, unsure of what to do.

Blood Phantom’s relentless approach made the Spiked Pig extremely nervous.

Its limbs fidgeted, ready to run at any moment.

Just as the Spiked Pig was about to move, Blood Phantom transformed into a blood-red shadow again, instantly sweeping past the Spiked Pig.

“Slash!!”

The sound of a blade cutting through flesh echoed, and the Spiked Pig froze in place.

Blood Phantom appeared not far behind it.

The Spiked Pig twitched slightly before collapsing to the ground.

A clear claw mark on its neck gushed blood.

Faint black gas emanated from the claw mark.

This black gas was Blood Phantom’s corpse energy.

The corpse energy would gradually infect the body, causing a corpse mutation.

If not expelled in time, it would turn the body into a zombie.

A zombie that only acted on bloodthirsty instincts.

However, Ye Ling didn’t want such trouble. Before the Spiked Pig turned into a zombie, Ye Ling would dissect it.

Not out of interest, but to obtain any evolution materials the Spiked Pig’s body might contain.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Secret Realm.

Liu Wu, who was in the same class as Ye Ling and always disliked him, had also summoned his Spiritual Pet.

The Venomous Scale Python was Liu Wu’s Spiritual Pet.

At First Rank Fifth Level, it was about to reach the Sixth Level.

It was nearly eight meters long, with a girth so wide that it took a person to encircle it.

Its body was a greenish hue, and as its name suggested, it was highly venomous.

Anyone poisoned by the Venomous Scale Python would die within an hour if not treated in time, their veins bulging and blood streaming from their orifices—a gruesome death.

Compared to the Spiritual Pets of other class geniuses, Liu Wu’s was weaker.

Only a First Rank Fifth Level Venomous Scale Python, but its venomous nature made no one dare to underestimate it.

Even Huo Xian’er’s Earth Azure Dragon would struggle to win unscathed if poisoned by the Venomous Scale Python.

Having been transported to this area, Liu Wu, confident in his Venomous Scale Python, didn’t stay put.

He immediately began searching, seemingly looking for someone.
