Chapter 277 – Master Jiang An

The young man saw Terra Su and was initially surprised and delighted, but then a trace of embarrassment flashed across his face. He stood up from the ground and said with a bitter smile, “I’m really sorry to let you see me like this. What are you doing in Anyang City? Aren’t you from Clear River City?”

“I’m here to participate in the Anyang Martial Meet,” Terra Su replied. “What about you? Why are you here?”

“Participate in the Anyang Martial Meet?” The young man couldn’t help but feel a bit envious upon hearing this. He said, “My brothers and I wanted to see the world in Anyang City and train a bit.”

Terra Su nodded, glanced at the Clear Elixir Pavilion staff nearby, and asked the young man, “What happened here?”

The young man showed a hint of sadness. “It’s a long story. One of my brothers was injured by a monster beast on the way here. The healing medicine we brought wasn’t good enough, and the injury wasn’t treated in time, resulting in complications. His legs can barely stand now. I wanted to find an alchemist to help him, but you need connections to see an alchemist at the Alchemy Guild, so I had to come here.”

After speaking, the young man helplessly glanced at the Clear Elixir Pavilion staff.

The staff clearly knew Terra Su’s identity and became flustered, saying, “Young Master Su, we really can’t do anything about this. We’re just small clerks and really don’t have the ability to treat illnesses.”

He swore to the heavens that if he had known from the start that this young man was Terra Su’s friend, he would never have treated him this way.

Terra Su said calmly, “Alright, this has nothing to do with you.”

The staff member, feeling as if he had been granted amnesty, immediately nodded and bowed, saying with a forced smile, “Then, Young Master Su, I’ll take my leave.”

With that, the staff member quickly scurried into the Clear Elixir Pavilion, afraid that if he moved too slowly, Terra Su would cause him trouble.

The young man looked curiously at the staff member’s fearful retreating figure, puzzled, and couldn’t help but ask, “Didn’t you just arrive in Anyang City not long ago? Why does it seem like the staff is so afraid of you?”

Terra Su smiled, “Come with me. I’ll see if I can help you find an alchemist to treat your brother’s injuries.”

“Really?” The young man was somewhat incredulous. Alchemists were so high and mighty. He had knelt with silver in hand at the Alchemy Guild for so long without being able to invite one, and he was mercilessly rejected at the Clear Elixir Pavilion. How could Terra Su possibly have a way to find an alchemist?

However, hearing Terra Su’s confident tone, it seemed as if finding an alchemist wasn’t a difficult task at all.

At that moment, the young man, feeling bewildered, followed Terra Su into the Clear Elixir Pavilion.

After a few more questions, Terra Su learned that the young man’s full name was He Shun, currently at the first level of the Condensing Origin Realm, and considered a small genius in Yellow Stone City. However, Yellow Stone City was too small, just like Clear River City. Geniuses from there were like country folk entering the city when they came to Anyang City, completely unremarkable.

When He Shun discovered that Terra Su was already at the eighth level of the Condensing Origin Realm, he was speechless with shock, unable to imagine what had happened to Terra Su in these past few months to allow him to cultivate so quickly.

As they entered the Clear Elixir Pavilion, they happened to encounter an old man with a second-grade alchemist badge on his chest, leading a few disciples towards them.

“Master Su!”

The old man, upon seeing Terra Su, immediately showed great joy and hurriedly walked over, respectfully addressing him.

This greeting left He Shun and the disciples equally astonished.

He Shun, having experienced the cold reception and heartache of seeking an alchemist for his brother, fully understood how lofty the alchemist profession was. Alchemists were so arrogant, let alone a second-grade alchemist, who wouldn’t even glance at people. How could they show such respect to Terra Su?

The disciples were also incredulous. Their master was Jiang An, a highly respected second-grade alchemist of the Alchemy Guild. How could he be so respectful to a young man?

They all rubbed their eyes vigorously, showing expressions as if they had seen a ghost. What was happening today? Master Jiang An was showing such respect to a young man.

“Who are you?”

Terra Su only knew that the old man was one of those who had observed his alchemy that day, but he didn’t know his name.

The disciples couldn’t help but almost burst out laughing. This was Master Jiang! Who wouldn’t recognize him? And the key point was, Master Jiang was so respectful to you, yet you didn’t know who he was?

“Cough, cough, my surname is Jiang, and my name is Jiang An. A few days ago, I had the fortune to witness Master Su’s alchemy and benefited greatly,” the old man said with sincere humility. “However, I was so engrossed in Master Su’s explanations that I didn’t know when Master Su left. It was truly an oversight, my fault, my fault.”

This statement once again left the disciples in shock. Master Jiang An was apologizing for not noticing the other party’s departure. Who was this young man?

He Shun, standing aside, was completely dumbfounded. In his mind, Terra Su was always just a young man who had saved him in the Rising Sun Mountains. Though talented, he was still just a young man. How had he suddenly become a big figure in Anyang City?

The Clear Elixir Pavilion staff were afraid of him, and even the lofty second-grade alchemist showed him such respect.

He Shun’s mind was in chaos. With his level of understanding, he could hardly comprehend the bizarre scene before him.

Terra Su didn’t care what He Shun was thinking. He directly said to Jiang An, “Since you’re here, it’s perfect. I have a friend whose brother needs an alchemist for treatment. I think you should take care of it.”

“Alright, since Master Su requests it, I will do my best,” Jiang An said without hesitation, not finding it odd that Terra Su asked him to treat someone. Since Terra Su had once enlightened him, he was his teacher. If a teacher asked a student to do something, how could he refuse?

Terra Su then turned to He Shun and said, “He Shun, if you want your brother to get better, go and bring him here immediately. A second-grade alchemy master treating him is a privilege not everyone gets.”

He Shun blinked in disbelief, unable to believe that Terra Su had so easily found an alchemist to treat his brother. He was momentarily stunned.

It wasn’t until Terra Su almost kicked him in the butt that he snapped out of it, joyfully agreeing repeatedly and rushing towards where he was staying.

“Master Su, is that your friend?” Jiang An cautiously asked Terra Su, curious about how Terra Su could have such a low-level friend.

“Not exactly a friend, just someone I once met by chance,” Terra Su replied with a smile.
