Chapter 273 – Questioned

“An otherworldly master taught me,” Terra Su replied with a smile.

“That must be an incredible master! Can I meet him?” Jin Ling’er perked up, her questions firing off like a string of firecrackers.

Terra Su responded to her absentmindedly, and soon, Bruce Sun returned to the room with four others.

These four varied in age, the oldest being in his sixties or seventies, and the youngest in their twenties, all wearing the badge of a second-grade alchemist on their chests.

“This is Master Su. We will observe his alchemy later,” Bruce Sun introduced enthusiastically.

Upon hearing this, the group looked at Terra Su, surprise etched on their faces.

“Really, Bruce? You rushed over, saying we should observe a master alchemist, and you meant him?” an old man asked incredulously.

“Yeah, Grandmaster Sun, is there some mistake? This is just a young kid,” another young second-grade alchemist remarked dismissively.

Bruce Sun replied sternly, “Master Su is an alchemist with exceptional skills. Observing him will greatly benefit our own alchemy techniques.”

Pfft—

The young second-grade alchemist couldn’t help but laugh, “Grandmaster Sun, what got into you today, bringing us to watch a kid? How could this be of any help? Are you looking down on us?”

They were all respectable second-grade alchemists; surely, they hadn’t fallen to the point of needing to observe a young boy’s alchemy.

“I say it will be beneficial, and it will be. Do you not believe me?” Bruce Sun’s face showed anger. He had rushed to the Alchemy Guild out of goodwill to bring them to observe Terra Su’s alchemy, only to be met with skepticism.

He was doing this to strengthen the Alchemy Guild, which was currently being overshadowed by the Heavenly Elixir Hall. Talented young alchemists were being poached by the Heavenly Elixir Hall.

It wasn’t just the Heavenly Elixir Hall; even the Elixir Path division of Anyang Academy was beginning to rival the Alchemy Guild, taking away many promising alchemy talents.

Bruce Sun saw this and was anxious, which is why he wanted to strengthen the Alchemy Guild. So when Terra Su offered to let them observe his alchemy, Bruce Sun immediately brought several second-grade alchemists over.

But his goodwill was not reciprocated and was instead questioned.

“Hmph, I don’t believe it!” The young alchemist snorted, his eyes filled with disdain. He wasn’t afraid of Bruce Sun; his father was also a veteran second-grade alchemist, holding a position in the Alchemy Guild comparable to Bruce Sun’s, and they were even competing for a vice president position, having had some friction.

So, the relationship between him and Bruce Sun was almost adversarial.

He even suspected that Bruce Sun was deliberately making things difficult for him, calling him here to watch a young boy’s alchemy just to humiliate him.

“Fine, fine, fine. If that’s how you feel, then leave now,” Bruce Sun said, trembling with anger. His goodwill was being treated like nothing. He had thought the young alchemist had potential and wanted to help him despite past grievances, but he was met with disdain.

If that’s the case, he just hoped the young alchemist wouldn’t regret it in the future.

“Hmph, I’m leaving anyway,” the young alchemist snorted and walked out. He wouldn’t stay to watch a kid’s alchemy; it was a complete waste of time.

Bruce Sun waited until he left before sighing and turning to Terra Su, “Master Su, I apologize for ruining your mood. Please begin.”

With that, Bruce Sun, Jin Ling’er, and the remaining three second-grade alchemists found seats.

However, the three alchemists still had doubts in their eyes. They weren’t as disrespectful as the young alchemist, but they also felt that observing a young boy’s alchemy was unlikely to be useful, just a waste of time.

Bruce Sun noticed this and could only shake his head. Once Terra Su started his alchemy, they wouldn’t think that way.

As for Terra Su, he didn’t care what they thought. This alchemy demonstration was just a favor for Bruce Sun; he didn’t have the time to worry about the others.

The alchemy room already had a neutral alchemy furnace ready. Terra Su sat in front of it and began the process of creating the Three-Turn Rejuvenation Elixir.

As soon as he took out the materials, the alchemists couldn’t help but question.

“Volcanic Serpent Fruit and Golden Star Grass, is he making a Minor Rejuvenation Elixir?”

“No way, he brought us here to watch a kid make a Minor Rejuvenation Elixir, which has no technical challenge at all.”

They whispered among themselves. In their view, using Volcanic Serpent Fruit and Golden Star Grass as main ingredients could only mean a Minor Rejuvenation Elixir, which posed no difficulty for a second-grade alchemist. What was Bruce Sun thinking, bringing them to watch a kid make such an elixir?

Amid their murmurs, Terra Su threw all the ingredients into the alchemy furnace at once.

“No way, he’s putting all the ingredients in at once?”

“Ridiculous, this is ridiculous.”

The alchemists shook their heads, disapproving. Who makes elixirs like this, throwing everything in at once? It was a recipe for disaster.

Even if it didn’t explode, putting all the materials in at once would cause major issues with refinement and fusion, making it nearly impossible to form an elixir.

Even Bruce Sun was seeing this method for the first time. He hadn’t personally observed Terra Su’s alchemy before, but he still had great confidence in him.

He trusted his old friend Master Mo’s high regard for Terra Su, and he knew that both Grandmaster Huang and Dean Jackson Guo also held Terra Su in high esteem, which wasn’t without reason.

Whoosh!

After placing the materials, Terra Su began skillfully controlling the fire.

Since he was using the alchemy furnace, he didn’t use his own alchemy flame but the furnace’s fire.

Even so, this scene made the three alchemists’ eyes widen in disbelief, their expressions as if they had seen a ghost.

“No way? He actually mastered the Fire Control Technique?”
