Chapter 271 – Clear Elixir Pavilion

“Be careful of what?”

Xueying hesitated before finally saying, “Be careful of the Third Prince. He tried to win you over, Terra Su, but failed. He’s afraid you’ll side with the Crown Prince and will definitely take action.”

Terra Su was somewhat surprised by this. It wasn’t the fact that the Third Prince would take action that surprised him; knowing the Third Prince’s nature, it wasn’t unusual for him to make a move.

What surprised him was Xueying’s warning. By all accounts, Xueying was the Third Prince’s person, and warning him didn’t benefit her at all.

“Thank you for the warning, Miss Xueying. I’ll be careful.”

Xueying nodded slightly and saw Terra Su out of the Sleeping Moon Tower.

Walking down the street, Terra Su recalled Xueying’s words. What kind of action would the Third Prince take?

And then there were Lou Jun’s parting words: he would let it go this time, but not necessarily next time. It seemed he had simultaneously offended two formidable foes.

Terra Su pondered this, but there was no trace of anxiety in his eyes.

Only the weak would be anxious and uneasy, while the strong would turn pressure into motivation to enhance their strength.

Regardless, the Third Prince and Lou Jun wouldn’t dare to act in broad daylight. Terra Su had confidence in the law and order of Anyang City.

For now, Terra Su didn’t return to Anyang Academy immediately but headed towards a large building on the street.

A signboard hung on the building, inscribed with the words “Clear Elixir Pavilion,” clearly an elixir shop.

Terra Su ascended the hundreds of steps and entered the Clear Elixir Pavilion, where a graceful maid approached with a smile, “Welcome, sir. This is the Clear Elixir Pavilion, an elixir shop under the Alchemy Guild. What kind of elixir are you looking for?”

“I’m not here for elixirs, but I need some materials,” Terra Su replied.

The maid responded enthusiastically, “We sell materials here too. What kind of materials are you looking for?”

Terra Su took a pen and paper from the side and listed the ingredients for the Three-Turn Rejuvenation Elixir, writing out a list. “I need one set of each material on this list.”

The maid took the list, glanced over it, and said softly, “Sir, the Volcanic Serpent Fruit and Golden Star Grass on your list are rare materials. If you wish to purchase them here, you’ll need the approval of our manager.”

“Who is your manager?” Terra Su asked.

“Our manager is Grandmaster Bruce Sun,” the maid replied.

Him?

Terra Su was a bit surprised upon hearing this.

But considering that the Clear Elixir Pavilion was a shop under the Alchemy Guild, it wasn’t unexpected.

“Then, please inform Grandmaster Bruce Sun that I’m here to speak with him,” Terra Su said.

“Haha! Where did this ignorant kid come from, thinking he can summon Grandmaster Sun?”

A man in his forties suddenly appeared, full of mockery. “Do you think Grandmaster Sun is someone you can just call upon? Even if you want to meet him, you need an appointment, and it depends on whether he wants to see you. A brat like you, claiming Grandmaster Sun should come out to meet you, is laughable.”

“Watch your tone,” Terra Su frowned and said.

“Who do you think you are!” The man snorted coldly, looking at Terra Su with disdain. A brat daring to demand Grandmaster Sun come out to see him, did he think the Clear Elixir Pavilion was a playground?

Terra Su couldn’t be bothered with the man and turned to the maid, “I have some acquaintance with Grandmaster Bruce Sun. Just tell him Terra Su is here, and he’ll understand.”

The maid hesitated. The young man claimed to know Grandmaster Bruce Sun, but it seemed hard to believe. How could someone of Grandmaster Sun’s status have any connection with a young man?

The middle-aged man found it even more absurd and sneered, “Don’t you feel ashamed saying that? If you really know Grandmaster Sun, I’ll drink this bucket of dirty water right here.”

He pointed to a bucket of dirty water used for mopping the floor.

Terra Su shook his head, saying, “I didn’t expect you to have such a peculiar hobby. It would be a pity if I didn’t fulfill it for you.”

“You brat, how dare you talk nonsense!”

The middle-aged man was furious and waved his hand, “Someone, get this ignorant brat out of here!”

“Manager Li…” the maid whispered to the middle-aged man, thinking his handling of the situation was inappropriate. After all, Terra Su was a customer of the Clear Elixir Pavilion, and treating a customer like this didn’t seem right.

Manager Li glared at the maid, “What, do you have an opinion?”

The maid dared not say anything further, only casting a sympathetic glance at Terra Su. Manager Li himself wasn’t very capable; he had been just a menial worker at the Clear Elixir Pavilion. But last month, his brother-in-law unexpectedly advanced to a first-grade Alchemist, so he rose with him and became a minor manager at the Clear Elixir Pavilion.

However, despite his position, he was still deeply insecure, so he seized every opportunity to display his status and power to compensate for years of repression.

And Terra Su had unfortunately become his target, a tool for him to showcase his status.

“Someone, get this brat out of here!” Manager Li shouted repeatedly.

Soon, a group of burly armed guards rushed out from the back of the hall, each with a cultivation level of the tenth tier of the Condensing Origin Realm, surrounding Terra Su. “According to the manager’s orders, you must leave immediately!”

Manager Li’s face showed a look of satisfaction. Yes, this was it. The feeling of power was truly wonderful.

“Terra Su!”

At that moment, a girl’s voice unexpectedly rang out from behind.

A lively girl of about sixteen or seventeen skipped over, looking at Terra Su curiously, “Terra Su, what are you doing here?”

“Miss Jin, you’re here!”

The previously arrogant Manager Li, upon seeing the girl, immediately lost all his haughtiness and hurried over, bowing and scraping, his face full of flattery.

This was Jin Ling’er, a direct descendant of the Jin family, the third-ranked family in Anyang City.

In front of the Jin family, someone like Manager Li was nothing. The Jin family could easily crush a hundred of such minor managers with a flick of their fingers.

So, upon seeing Jin Ling’er, Manager Li immediately became as obedient as a Peke, not daring to overstep in the slightest.
