"Third Prince."
Lou Jun nodded, his expression still somewhat gloomy, and he didn't explain why he was late.
In fact, before entering, Lou Jun had already heard from afar the Third Prince introducing Terra Su. Hearing that such a young man could become close friends with three great alchemists was unbelievable to Lou Jun, and he felt a bit resentful.
He found it hard to imagine how someone so young could be valued by three great alchemists simultaneously. It seemed impossible, surely there was some mistake.
"Lou, you seem troubled?"
The Third Prince asked.
"Thank you for your concern, Third Prince, but I have no troubles."
Lou Jun shook his head, speaking absentmindedly as he went to his seat.
Seeing this, Xueying whispered something into the Third Prince's ear. The Third Prince listened and showed an expression of understanding.
It turned out Lou Jun had a minor conflict with Terra Su at the door. However, in the eyes of the Third Prince, these were trivial matters. With him mediating, how could these two not turn hostility into friendship?
At that moment, another young talent stood up and said, "This young Master Terra Su, being so young and already close with three great alchemists, must have profound skills in the Elixir Path. Could you perhaps demonstrate your skills for us?"
The young talent's eyes flashed with a hint of defiance, clearly skeptical of the Third Prince's introduction of Terra Su.
Terra Su merely smiled faintly and replied, "And who are you to demand a demonstration from me?"
"You…"
The young talent was immediately furious.
Just as he was about to speak further, the Third Prince intervened, "Alright, we're all brothers here, let's not create unpleasantness. Let's drink first, and discuss any issues later."
The Third Prince knew well that Terra Su, being favored by three great alchemists, was certainly not without talent, as those alchemists wouldn't be blind.
Thus, the Third Prince was not foolish enough to do anything to trouble Terra Su.
Even though the young talent was still dissatisfied, he could only sit down reluctantly.
"Hahaha, let's drink, everyone."
The Third Prince raised his glass, and immediately everyone else followed suit. After the Third Prince drained his cup, no one dared to leave their own drinks unfinished.
This pleased the Third Prince greatly. If he could command such respect as a mere prince, how much more would he be revered if he became the Princess in the future?
He was the best candidate to become the next Marquis Anyang, as he had the closest bloodline to him among all the princes. As for the Crown Prince, he was merely a descendant of a low-ranking branch of the royal family, unworthy of comparison.
"Master Terra Su, let's drink."
The Third Prince personally poured wine for Terra Su and called over four beautiful maidservants to accompany him.
Terra Su was undoubtedly one of the most esteemed guests of the Third Prince that night, evident from the Third Prince's attitude towards him. The four beautiful maidservants surrounded Terra Su, each with remarkable cultivation levels, clearly well-trained, speaking softly and gently serving him food.
For an average young man, being served so tenderly by four beauties would be enough to sway even the strongest of wills.
However, Terra Su sat casually, seemingly enjoying the service, but his eyes remained clear, showing no sign of being beguiled.
The Third Prince, with Xueying in his arms, drank leisurely, but in reality, he kept a watchful eye on Terra Su. Witnessing this scene, the Third Prince couldn't help but hold Terra Su in higher regard; such self-control in a young man was truly rare.
Gradually, many present began to engage Terra Su in conversation, hoping to build a rapport with the esteemed guest of the Third Prince and the favored of the three great alchemists.
However, Terra Su was indifferent to them. This was understandable, as they were insignificant in his eyes, and he had no interest in dealing with them.
Seeing Terra Su only drinking and showing no interest in the four beauties beside him, the Third Prince laughed, "Brother Terra Su, are you dissatisfied with these beauties? If so, I can get you others."
"No need," Terra Su replied casually. These beauties, no matter how lovely, were merely for show, and he had no interest.
The Third Prince's eyes flickered, and he suddenly laughed, "How about letting Xueying accompany you instead?"
Xueying, nestled beside the Third Prince, was taken aback, her eyes showing disbelief. The Third Prince had always treated her well, and she thought she held a high place in his heart. Yet, she realized she was just a plaything to be given away at will.
Tears welled up in Xueying's eyes, not because she was particularly opposed to Terra Su, but because of the Third Prince's attitude, which pained her.
However, she gritted her teeth, trying to hold back her tears.
Terra Su smiled and asked, "Would Miss Xueying be willing?"
"Willing," Xueying replied softly, her head lowered, trying to hide her emotions.
"Miss Xueying should stay with the Third Prince. You belong to him, and I wouldn't take what belongs to another," Terra Su said.
Xueying raised her head slightly in disbelief. Ever since she started at the Sleeping Moon Tower, every guest had looked at her with covetous eyes, some even wishing to devour her. No one had ever refused the chance to be close to her like Terra Su did.
This gave Xueying a unique feeling towards Terra Su, along with genuine gratitude.
However, thinking of how the Third Prince had readily offered her to Terra Su, Xueying felt a complex emotion. She had always thought the Third Prince was a good man, but now she realized she might have been wrong. If he could so easily offer her to someone else, what would he do if there was someone more worthy of his favor in the future?
For the first time, Xueying felt a slight wavering in her unwavering loyalty to the Third Prince.
Of course, the Third Prince was oblivious to Xueying's inner turmoil, and even if he noticed, he probably wouldn't care.
