Chapter 124 – Select treasures

“Spare me, my lord! Spare me!”

The man in luxurious clothes kept kowtowing. “I am merely one of Isaac Ding’s subordinates. He ordered me to come with him and impersonate an envoy from the Jiang Family in the capital. I was just following orders! Please, my lord, have mercy and let me go!”

“Answer a few questions, and I might spare your life,” Terra Su said.

The man immediately perked up. “Ask away, young master. I will tell you everything I know.”

“Is Isaac Ding from the Iron Armor Gate?” Terra Su asked.

“Yes, young master. Isaac Ding is indeed the fourth elder of the Iron Armor Gate. The Iron Armor Gate has a total of nine elders. Except for the ninth and fifth elders who were recently killed, the rest are still within the Iron Armor Gate,” the man quickly reported, completely unaware that the ninth and fifth elders had met their end at Terra Su’s hands.

Terra Su smiled and asked again, “So, you are also from the Iron Armor Gate. You must know a lot about it. What is the cultivation level of the Gate Master and the top-ranking elders?”

“Young master, the Gate Master, Christopher Ma, is at the Condensing Origin Realm tenth level. The Grand Elder, Tuoba Ye, is at the ninth level. The second and third elders are both at the seventh level,” the man replied.

Terra Su nodded. The Iron Armor Gate’s lineup was indeed formidable. No wonder they could dominate the surrounding thousand miles and become the top sect. Their strength was on a completely different level compared to the three major families of Clear River City.

An ordinary person would have been terrified to know they had offended such a powerful entity. But Terra Su was not an ordinary person. He remained calm and composed, then shattered the man’s dantian with a wave of his hand. “You may go.”

Although he promised to spare the man’s life, his cultivation had to be destroyed. Anyone who dared to oppose him could never leave unscathed.

The man dared not say anything. Being allowed to live was already a blessing. He had seen the miserable fate of Isaac Ding. Without hesitation, he fled from the North Jiang Manor as quickly as possible.

“Second Lady.”

At this moment, an elder from the North Jiang Manor, accompanied by a group of high-ranking members and clansmen, came to greet Sophia Xu.

“Second Lady, those two scoundrels, Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang, always pretended to be righteous, but at the critical moment, they poisoned us. We hereby announce our formal separation from the North Jiang Manor,” the elder said, his face full of indignation.

Sophia Xu comforted them gently, “Seeing their true colors is a good thing. If it weren’t for this incident, we wouldn’t know how long we would have been deceived by their facade.”

“Second Lady, can we join the South Jiang Manor? From now on, we pledge our loyalty to the South Jiang Manor, never to leave or betray,” the elder requested.

“If you are willing to join the South Jiang Manor, I welcome you with open arms,” Sophia Xu replied.

She was already familiar with these Jiang family members. They were not treacherous; on the contrary, they were very loyal. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have stayed in the North Jiang Manor despite their disagreements with Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang. Moreover, these people were highly capable, being the backbone of the original Jiang family. Their joining the South Jiang Manor would be a tremendous boost.

Hearing Sophia Xu’s agreement, everyone was overjoyed and immediately changed their address, bowing to Sophia Xu. “Greetings, Patriarch!”

“No need for such formalities,” Sophia Xu said softly. “From now on, let’s work together to build the South Jiang Manor into a new Jiang Family!”

“Yes, Patriarch!” Everyone nodded vigorously, feeling a bright future ahead. The Jiang Family had finally set things right and was on the correct path.

In the past, Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang always tried to marginalize Sophia Xu, causing numerous conflicts with other high-ranking members. The Jiang Family was not exactly fragmented, but it was certainly disunited.

Now, the newly established South Jiang Manor was united like a solid block of iron. Everyone was of one mind, working together without fear.

“Everyone, Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang might come back for revenge, so we must be vigilant,” Sophia Xu reminded.

“Second Lady, if they dare to come, we will make sure they never return!” The crowd’s eyes were filled with intense hatred. The more loyal they had been, the more they hated now. If Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang dared to return, they would fight to the death to kill those two heartless traitors.

“Speaking of which, we were able to uncover Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang’s plot today thanks to Young Master Su.”

“Young Master Su has fiery eyes and saw through the fake envoy. He also helped us neutralize the poison from the Thousand-Handed Poison Lord. Young Master Su’s abilities truly command our utmost respect.”

Everyone was now genuinely convinced by Terra Su. His prestige in their hearts was no less than Sophia Xu’s, perhaps even higher.

“No need to thank me. Your loyalty to my aunt is the best gratitude,” Terra Su said.

“We pledge our lifelong loyalty to the Patriarch, ready to sacrifice everything,” everyone declared on the spot.

“By the way, Little Terra,” Sophia Xu suddenly remembered, “the treasures from the North Jiang Manor’s storeroom have been brought out. Go and see if there’s anything you can use.”

Hearing this, Terra Su walked over to the pile of treasures outside the main gate. A casual glance revealed mostly gold, silver, and jewels, which didn’t interest him much.

It wasn’t that gold and silver were useless, but in the small Clear River City, the good things that could be bought with gold and silver were quite limited. Therefore, Terra Su wasn’t impressed. He preferred those special treasures that couldn’t be bought with money.

After looking around, Terra Su shook his head and said, “Aunt, move all these treasures to the South Jiang Manor. The South Jiang Manor can use these riches right now.”

Although these treasures didn’t interest Terra Su, they could help the fledgling South Jiang Manor grow rapidly.

“Little Terra, you don’t fancy any of these?” Sophia Xu asked in surprise. To her eyes, some of these treasures were quite good, but Terra Su’s standards were obviously much higher.

Terra Su was about to say no when his gaze suddenly fell on a pile of bronze artifacts in the corner.

These bronze items were covered in dust and rust, looking like they had been left in some corner for many years, seemingly a pile of neglected scrap metal.

However, Terra Su’s keen intuition sensed an extraordinary aura from this pile of bronze artifacts.

He walked over to the pile and started rummaging through it. But there were so many items that it was hard to determine which one had caught his attention.
