Chapter 123 – North Jiang Manor in a sorry state

“Poor Isaac Ding, all his lifelong cultivation has become a wedding dress for me.”

Terra Su shook his head, but he didn’t feel any sympathy for Isaac. After all, Isaac’s downfall was due to his own greed; it was a result of his own choices.

Terra surveyed the battlefield and saw that the fight had reached a fever pitch. Many were injured, and several bodies already lay on the ground.

On Sophia Xu’s side, she was barely holding her own against Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang, and it was clear she was about to lose.

“Aunt, I’m coming to help you.”

Terra drew the Cang Hai Sword and leaped gracefully into the fray, his Condensing Origin Realm fourth-level cultivation immediately on display.

With a clang, the Cang Hai Sword deflected the long sword Robert Jiang had aimed at Sophia.

“Kid, what are you doing here?”

Robert was stunned, a terrifying and unbelievable suspicion creeping into his mind. Could it be…

Robert quickly looked in the direction where Isaac had been, only to find Isaac’s body lying on the ground, his skin purple and lifeless.

“How is this possible?”

Robert couldn’t believe his eyes. Isaac Ding, the infamous Thousand-Handed Poison Lord, with a cultivation level of Condensing Origin Realm fifth-level, had died at Terra’s hands!

For a moment, even Robert felt a bone-chilling fear, realizing he knew nothing about Terra Su. He had always known Terra was extraordinary, but he hadn’t expected him to be this monstrous, capable of defeating even Isaac Ding.

“Still daring to be distracted? Do you want to die faster?”

Terra charged at Robert, fully unleashing the Waves Stacking Slash. The continuous sword light forced Robert to retreat several steps in surprise.

“What’s going on? This kid’s strength seems to have improved again, as if he’s advanced to Condensing Origin Realm fourth-level?”

Robert was horrified. When Terra arrived today, he clearly wasn’t this strong. What had happened between him and Isaac?

However, Robert was a seasoned Condensing Origin Realm sixth-level expert. Despite his initial shock, he quickly steadied himself and sneered, “Kid, so what if you killed Isaac? You’re still no match for me. Die!”

He was two levels higher than Terra. No matter how talented Terra was, it was impossible for him to surpass such a gap.

“Thunder Sword Technique!”

Robert launched a fierce attack, intending to kill Terra on the spot. Since their enmity was now irreconcilable, it was a matter of life and death, and he couldn’t worry about whether Master Dust would be furious.

But.

At that moment.

A shadow flashed past Robert, and to his shock, he found that his sword-wielding arm had been severed, the other half falling to the ground.

Clang!

The severed arm and sword hit the ground.

“Ah! My arm!”

Robert finally realized what had happened, clutching the bleeding stump of his arm and screaming hysterically.

Seeing the dire situation, Otto Jiang quickly parried Sophia’s attack and rushed to support Robert.

Robert’s face was as pale as paper, devoid of any color, and his arm was completely severed, beyond any hope of recovery.

“Terra Su!”

Otto’s face was terrifyingly dark as he glared at Terra and the suddenly appearing Sean Feng beside him.

He knew Terra had this mysterious Condensing Origin Realm seventh-level expert as a helper, but Terra hadn’t brought him today. How did he appear at this critical moment?

What Otto didn’t know was that Terra had planned this all along. He had anticipated today’s events might involve some conspiracy, so he deliberately didn’t bring Sean Feng to lull Otto and Robert into a false sense of security, thereby drawing out their entire plan.

In reality, Terra had Sean hide outside North Jiang Manor, ready to assist if he heard the sounds of battle.

Terra was always meticulous, and in terms of strategy, Otto, no matter how cunning, was no match for Terra, who had lived two lifetimes.

Otto glared venomously at Terra, knowing today’s plan had failed. With Terra having a Condensing Origin Realm seventh-level helper, plus Sophia, they had two seventh-level experts. On his side, only he was seventh-level, and Robert, a sixth-level, was severely injured. If they didn’t retreat quickly, they might not even have a chance to escape.

“We’re leaving!”

Otto made a decisive call, supporting the heavily injured Robert, and with his loyal followers, they broke through the windows and fled without looking back.

“Young Master Su, should we pursue them?”

Sean Feng asked.

“Let them go this time.”

Terra shook his head.

It wasn’t that Terra didn’t want to eliminate them completely, but Otto was a Condensing Origin Realm seventh-level expert. A cornered seventh-level expert could be extremely dangerous. Even with two seventh-level experts on his side, they would still pay a heavy price.

Terra cared about Sophia. She was one of his most important relatives, and he couldn’t let her take such a big risk.

However, today’s outcome already made Terra very satisfied.

North Jiang Manor had suffered a heavy blow, with key members either dead or injured. Many had defected in anger due to poisoning and would never return.

“Men, bring out the valuables from North Jiang Manor’s treasury and then burn the place down.”

Terra ordered. Since Otto and Robert had left North Jiang Manor, dreaming of returning was futile.

Soon, a team of strong-armed guards smashed open the treasury doors, moved out all the valuables, and set North Jiang Manor ablaze.

Sophia stood outside the manor gates, watching the towering flames with no trace of attachment or regret in her eyes. For her, the Jiang Family was now just a memory. Her South Jiang Manor would be the new Jiang Family.

For Otto and Robert, this incident was beyond a heavy loss. Despite taking some wealth with them, the vast majority remained and now belonged to Terra.

“Where do you think you’re going!”

At that moment, Sophia spotted a sneaky figure trying to escape. It was the man in luxurious clothes who had impersonated the envoy from the capital.

In their haste to escape, Otto and Robert had left him behind. Injured by Terra earlier, he couldn’t flee quickly and was now caught by Sophia.

Sophia swiftly captured the man and threw him back down the steps.
