“Could it be that the antidote in this kid’s hand is really a universal antidote? How is that possible?”
Isaac Ding felt incredulous. Could such a thing as a universal antidote truly exist?
“Right, it must be the treasure he found. It must contain the universal antidote. This means the treasure he obtained is even more terrifying than I imagined, perhaps even an ancient treasure!”
Isaac’s eyes blazed with fervor. If he could obtain this treasure, his Martial Dao and Elixir Path skills would surely ascend to a new level, no, several new levels!
“All these treasures will soon be mine!”
Isaac stared greedily at Terra Su.
Otto Jiang and Robert Jiang also looked at Terra Su in disbelief. Could this kid’s elixir really detoxify the poison? How could that be, when it was the poison concocted by the Thousand-Handed Poison Lord, Isaac Ding!
Terra Su turned to Sophia Xu and said, “Auntie, you hold off Otto and Robert. As for this so-called Thousand-Handed Poison Lord, leave him to me.”
“Heh heh… very well, kid, you have guts! Come, fight me!”
Isaac laughed eerily. Terra Su’s proposal was exactly what he wanted. In his eyes, a mere fifteen-year-old boy, even if he had obtained an ancient treasure, could never be a match for the battle-hardened Thousand-Handed Poison Lord.
“Little Terra, can you handle it?”
Sophia Xu was worried. After all, Isaac was at the fifth level of the Condensing Origin Realm, two levels higher than Terra Su. Moreover, the gap between the fourth and fifth levels was significant, meaning Isaac’s actual strength was far superior.
“Don’t worry, Auntie.”
Terra Su flashed a confident smile.
Sophia Xu nodded. She knew she had to follow Terra Su’s plan. Otto and Robert Jiang were at the seventh and sixth levels of the Condensing Origin Realm, respectively. As a seventh-level herself, she could barely hold them both off, let alone help Terra Su.
“Kid, you’re quite confident!”
Isaac sneered. To him, Terra Su’s challenge was akin to seeking death.
“Armed guards, where are you!”
Otto Jiang shouted. He knew that at this point, there was no need for more words; it was time to draw swords.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Hundreds of fully armed guards leaped in, surrounding everyone in the hall. At the same time, Otto and Robert Jiang unleashed their killing intent, drawing their weapons and charging at Sophia Xu.
Sophia Xu was already struggling to hold off Otto and Robert, and with the added assault from the armed guards, she was quickly overwhelmed.
“Second Lady, I’ll help you!”
At that moment, an elder of the North Jiang Manor who had been poisoned earlier leaped into the fray, joining forces with Sophia Xu.
“Second Lady, we’ll help you too! Let’s kill these two family scourges, Otto and Robert Jiang!”
In an instant, seven or eight more elders who had been poisoned earlier shouted and joined the battle, greatly alleviating Sophia Xu’s pressure.
“Have you all turned against us?”
Otto and Robert Jiang’s faces darkened. The elders had betrayed them!
Fortunately, many elders remained loyal to Otto and Robert, and soon the North Jiang Manor was divided into two factions, one supporting Sophia Xu and the other supporting Otto and Robert.
The two sides were evenly matched, and the battle was fierce and evenly contested.
“Kid, didn’t you say you wanted a one-on-one? Now that they’re fighting, it’s time for us to have some fun!”
Isaac sneered at Terra Su, his eyes and tone full of disdain and provocation.
Terra Su stood his ground, smiling casually. “Playing with you might be beneath me, but since today is a great day and everyone’s in high spirits, I’ll humor you.”
Humor him?
Isaac’s face stiffened, almost spitting blood. He was the renowned Fourth Elder of the Iron Armor Gate, the infamous Thousand-Handed Poison Lord, yet this kid treated him like an unknown nobody?
A venomous glint flashed in Isaac’s eyes, and he sneered, “Kid, do you think you can provoke me with such childish tricks? You’re too naive.”
“Provoke you?”
Terra Su chuckled, “You’re overthinking it. Dealing with you doesn’t require such complexity.”
Isaac’s face darkened; he was genuinely angered.
“Kid, let’s not waste time. How about we make a bet?”
Isaac glared at Terra Su, determined to make him pay.
“What kind of bet?”
Terra Su asked calmly.
“I heard you’re an alchemist too. Let’s each set up a poison array and see who can last a stick of incense in the other’s array. The winner takes all, how about it?”
Isaac grinned wickedly.
Terra Su realized Isaac wanted to play with poison.
This so-called array involved using poison to create a formation, testing each other’s poisoning and detoxifying abilities.
Play with poison? Terra Su almost laughed. In front of him, the Alchemy Emperor, playing with poison was child’s play. No one in the world could outdo him in this regard.
“Let’s play.”
Terra Su agreed.
“Ha! Kid, you said it. If you lose, you must reveal all your secrets!”
This was Isaac’s true goal. With his fifth-level Condensing Origin Realm strength, he could easily defeat Terra Su with martial arts. But that would bury Terra Su’s treasure secrets with him, which Isaac didn’t want.
Hence, he proposed this bet. If Terra Su was poisoned, he would reveal the treasure’s secrets to save his life.
“First, since this is a skill duel, you can’t use your universal antidote. You must concoct the antidote on the spot.”
Isaac stared at Terra Su.
“You overestimate yourself. Dealing with you doesn’t require an antidote.”
Terra Su shrugged, almost making Isaac faint with rage.
“Hmph, fine, very well!”
Isaac’s eyes were as cold as a snake’s as he glared at Terra Su. “This place is too chaotic. Let’s find another spot.”
They moved away from the hall’s chaos to a secluded corner.
Isaac raised an eyebrow and said sinisterly, “Kid, you have ten breaths to set up your poison array. Can you do it? If not, say so, and I’ll give you a head start.”
