Chapter 102 – Something terrible has happened

Clear River City.

The lanterns had just been lit.

As Terra Su stepped through the gates of Clear River City, he heard a crisp shout from not far away, “Young Master Su!”

Terra was taken aback. Who in Clear River City would call him “Young Master Su”? Could it be…

He turned around and saw a disheveled woman, holding up her dress, running towards him in the twilight, shouting anxiously, “Young Master Su, I’ve finally found you. Something terrible has happened to the Second Lady!”

Aunt!

Terra immediately recognized the somewhat familiar woman—it was Qingping, Sophia Xu’s personal maid.

“Young Master Su, something terrible has happened!”

Qingping was panting heavily, her hair and clothes in disarray, looking utterly disheveled.

“The First Master and the Third Master suddenly stormed in to accuse her, and then they tied up the Second Lady!”

“Otto Jiang, Robert Jiang?”

A cold light flashed in Terra’s eyes. “Speak slowly!”

Qingping took a moment to compose herself and then recounted the events in full.

It turned out that earlier that evening, Otto and Robert had barged into Sophia Xu’s courtyard, demanding to know why the cave marked on the map Terra had given them did not contain the Patriarch’s Seal as he had claimed. When Sophia said she didn’t know, they ordered their men to tie her up.

In the chaos, only Qingping managed to escape and waited at the city gates for Terra.

After hearing this, Terra’s face turned icy cold. It was obvious that Otto and Robert’s men had finally dug through the cave and found no Patriarch’s Seal, so they came to cause trouble.

However, instead of confronting him directly, Otto and Robert targeted Sophia Xu. Such actions that endangered his family undoubtedly touched Terra’s reverse scale.

In that instant, Terra’s eyes turned slightly red, and a powerful aura emanated from him, making it hard for Qingping to breathe!

Even Sean Feng, standing nearby, was somewhat shocked by Terra’s transformation.

Such an aura, such majesty, was something only those in high positions possessed. How could it appear in a fifteen-year-old boy?

“Let’s go to the Jiang Family!”

Terra strode towards the Jiang Family’s residence but stopped after a few steps. After thinking for a moment, he said, “Qingping, go to the Alchemy Guild on my behalf and seek help from Master Mo.”

It wasn’t that he feared Otto and Robert, but he was worried about his aunt’s safety. Having an extra layer of support would be beneficial.

“Yes, Young Master Su.”

Qingping responded and left.

Terra, accompanied by Sean Feng, sped towards the Jiang Family residence.

At the gates of the Jiang Family, two guards crossed their spears to block his way. “This is a restricted area. No unauthorized personnel allowed!”

“Courting death!”

Terra unleashed a double punch, sending the two guards flying left and right, crashing into the wall, their fates unknown.

He strode into the Jiang Family residence, his steps swift. Anyone who tried to stop him was sent flying with a single punch.

Before long, he arrived at Sophia Xu’s courtyard.

Before entering, he heard Sophia’s cold voice from within, “First Master, Third Master, what exactly do you want from me? I truly don’t know!”

“Hmph, we want to know why the cave marked on the map didn’t contain the Patriarch’s Seal as promised!”

Robert Jiang’s furious voice echoed.

Sophia sneered, “How would I know? Maybe it’s because neither of you is destined to be the Patriarch.”

“You…”

Robert was enraged, but before he could continue, Otto’s voice interrupted:

“Sister-in-law, we don’t want to fall out with you. Just tell us where the Patriarch’s Seal is.”

“I don’t know.”

Sophia’s response was curt. Even if she knew, she wouldn’t tell Otto and Robert.

“Big Brother, I think she really doesn’t know.”

Robert gritted his teeth. “What’s infuriating is that we even canceled Emma Jiang’s marriage to the Wang Family for this, offending them, and it turned out to be for nothing!”

No need to look to know that Otto’s face must be terrifyingly grim at this moment.

His deep voice sounded, “No matter, the marriage can still be renegotiated.”

“But Emma has gone to Tianyue Academy in the capital. How can we renegotiate?” Robert was unwilling to accept this.

Otto’s face twitched. Emma going to Tianyue Academy was a sore point for him. It was supposed to be his daughter, Liz Jiang, who went, but Emma had suddenly mastered a unique martial technique and secured the spot.

Otto’s face darkened, and he sneered, “Even if Emma is at Tianyue Academy, we can still arrange the marriage. The academy can’t interfere with family matters. As long as she acknowledges the Jiang ancestors, she’ll have to return and accept the marriage!”

“Big Brother is right!”

Robert seemed to have an epiphany and excitedly said, “We can even use the Second Lady to force that girl to come back and marry!”

“Despicable scum!”

Sophia cursed, “I’ve never seen uncles scheming against their niece like this!”

“There’s no place for you to speak here!”

Robert ordered, “Someone, gag the Second Lady!”

Several thugs responded, approaching with a white cloth to stuff into Sophia’s mouth.

Sophia struggled, but her hands and feet were tightly bound by metal ropes, rendering her powerless. She could only shake her head desperately to avoid the cloth.

Robert sneered, “Your struggle is futile. Someone, slap her!”

“Yes, Third Master!” A thug respectfully answered, raising his hand high.

But before the thug could strike, a sudden flash of cold light streaked through the air.

In the next moment, the thug’s entire arm fell off, blood spraying everywhere!

Then, a figure strode into the courtyard. Before Otto and Robert could react, the figure’s sword flashed, beheading all the thugs around Sophia.

“Terra Su!”

Otto’s eyes gleamed, staring intently at the figure who had stormed in like a god of death.

Robert was incredulous. “How did this brat get in? Where are the guards? Guards? Guards?”

Robert called out repeatedly, but Terra sneered, “The guards outside? No need to call them; I killed them all.”

Robert looked at Terra in disbelief. “Impossible, you’re lying!”

The guards they brought were all experts, most of them at the Condensing Origin Realm, with many at the second and third levels. How could Terra have killed them all silently?
