Chapter 93 – Twists and turns

Terra Su left his room and found Manager Min, asking, “Which room is Sean Feng in?”

“Are you asking about Envoy Feng? Please follow me.”

Manager Min said, leading Terra Su to another room. He called through the door, “Envoy Feng, Young Master Su is here.”

Click!

The door immediately opened.

Sean Feng stood at the doorway, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Terra Su. He eagerly asked, “Young Master Su, are you here to teach me the next part of the Ming Wang Finger?”

“Let’s talk inside!”

Terra Su smiled. He knew that he had only taught Sean Feng the first part of the second half of the Ming Wang Finger and had delayed teaching him the rest. Sean Feng must have been anxious for a while now.

Sean Feng invited Terra Su into the room and brewed some tea before impatiently asking, “Young Master Su, the next part of the Ming Wang Finger…”

Terra Su chuckled, “Don’t rush! I’m here to teach you the next part, aren’t I?”

As he spoke, Terra Su dipped his finger in the tea and wrote a few lines on the table.

Sean Feng focused his gaze and found that these few lines were indeed the continuation of the Ming Wang Finger’s incantation, seamlessly following the part he already knew.

Overjoyed, Sean Feng immediately began practicing on the spot. However, after a while, he realized that the incantation was still incomplete, just a bit more than what he had previously mastered.

Sean Feng stopped practicing, a look of distress on his face. “Young Master Su…”

Terra Su smiled faintly, “Don’t look at me like that. It’s impossible for me to teach you the entire second half of the Ming Wang Finger all at once. But as long as you perform well, I’ll teach you a part of it every now and then.”

Hearing this, hope reignited in Sean Feng’s eyes. He nodded vigorously, “Alright, as long as it can solve my problem of going berserk during practice, I’ll do whatever you ask.”

“Perfect, there’s something I need you to do right now.”

“What is it?”

“Accompany me to the Rising Sun Mountains!”

This was something Terra Su had planned earlier. The inner regions of the Rising Sun Mountains were complex and potentially dangerous. Having a strong companion would ensure much more safety. Of course, Terra Su wouldn’t let Sean Feng intervene unless it was a matter of life and death, as that would defeat the purpose of the training.

Without waiting for Sean Feng’s response, Terra Su stood up, “Get ready. We’ll set off early tomorrow morning.”

With that, Terra Su left Sean Feng’s room.

Watching Terra Su’s departing figure, Sean Feng could only smile wryly. What else could he say? Right now, Terra Su was his lifeline. As long as Terra Su could cure his berserk symptoms, he had to do whatever Terra Su asked, let alone just accompany him into the mountains.

The next day, Terra Su got up early and left the Five Treasures Hall with Sean Feng.

At Terra Su’s request, Sean Feng donned a black robe and covered his face with a black mask. This was to maintain his mysterious identity. After all, he was a powerful figure from the capital’s Five Treasures Hall headquarters. If people found out that such a person was following Terra Su, it would undoubtedly attract a lot of unwanted attention, which Terra Su wanted to avoid.

As soon as they stepped out of the Five Treasures Hall, Terra Su noticed a shadow flicker at a nearby corner from the corner of his eye.

He sneered inwardly. Now that he had a Condensing Origin Realm seventh-level expert with him, if anyone dared to make a move, they were welcome to try.

“Boss, Terra Su finally came out!” A black-clothed person at the corner licked his lips excitedly, “We’ve been waiting for days. Should we take him out now?”

“Yeah, boss, if we kill him, the Patriarch will definitely reward us heavily!”

“Hold on!” The one who spoke was a leader-like figure among them. “Didn’t you notice something off?”

“No, what’s off?”

The leader frowned, “Look at the black-robed person following him.”

The others finally noticed the black-robed figure following Terra Su and dismissed it, “Just a follower, nothing special.”

“Yeah, he looks like a servant or a follower. We can take them both out together.”

“The reason Elder Henry Ye died was mainly because he was too careless. If we all attack together, Terra Su won’t stand a chance.”

“No.” The leader shook his head, “We’re not making a move today. Let’s go.”

Despite the others’ reluctance, the leader seemed resolute and insisted on taking them away.

The leader couldn’t explain why, but it was a martial practitioner’s instinct honed through countless battles. He sensed a very dangerous aura emanating from the black-robed person following Terra Su, making him wary and unwilling to provoke them.

Terra Su and Sean Feng left Clear River City and headed towards the Rising Sun Mountains at full speed.

Terra Su, now at the third level of the Condensing Origin Realm, had much stronger footwork. What had taken him an entire afternoon last time now only took a little over an hour.

Upon arriving at the Rising Sun Mountains, Terra Su sensed something was off. Normally, there wouldn’t be many martial practitioners at the foot of the mountains; people would be inside gathering herbs or training. But today, many martial practitioners were lingering at the foot of the mountains, and quite a few seemed ready to leave, giving off a strange vibe.

Terra Su casually approached a martial practitioner who seemed about to leave and asked, “My friend, what’s happening in the Rising Sun Mountains today?”

The martial practitioner glanced at Terra Su and Sean Feng, “Are you here to train in the Rising Sun Mountains? Don’t go in. You won’t be able to enter today.”

Terra Su asked curiously, “Why not?”

The martial practitioner shook his head, “I’m not entirely sure. It seems the young master of the nearby Iron Armor Gate was killed in the Rising Sun Mountains, and his body was just found a few days ago. Now the Iron Armor Gate has sealed off the entire mountain range, not letting anyone in or out, trying to catch the killer.”

“I see.”

Terra Su hadn’t expected the Rising Sun Mountains to be sealed off, and it was because of him.

“You’re welcome. Anyway, don’t go into the mountains. The Iron Armor Gate people are very fierce. If you don’t follow their orders, they’ll kill you on the spot.”

With that, the martial practitioner left.

“Thank you.”

Terra Su thanked the martial practitioner and continued up the mountain path.

Sean Feng asked, “Young Master Su, didn’t that person say the Iron Armor Gate has sealed off the Rising Sun Mountains? Why are we still going in?”

“Do I need your opinion on my actions?”

Terra Su smiled faintly, “Just follow me and keep your mouth shut.”

Hearing this, Sean Feng fell silent and followed Terra Su. If the Iron Armor Gate people truly didn’t know their place, he could always step in to help Terra Su.
