Chapter 84 – Grandmaster Wang

“Tomorrow is the Alchemy Guild’s promotion day.”

Terra Su exhaled lightly, preparing to return to his room for a good night’s sleep.

Just then, a clerk from the Five Treasures Hall approached with an envelope in hand. “Young Master Su, during your closed-door cultivation, your cousin came looking for you. When she found out you were cultivating, she left this letter.”

“My cousin came by?”

Terra Su took the letter and opened it. The handwriting was Emma Jiang’s, with only a few words saying she had already set off for Tianyue Academy. She asked Terra to take care of her mother if possible.

Additionally, she mentioned that they would meet again when she became a true strong cultivator.

Terra Su shook his head, looking at the handwriting that reflected Emma Jiang’s unique stubbornness.

“Let her be.”

Terra wasn’t worried about Emma Jiang. Tianyue Academy was a perfect place for her. Once she broke through to the Condensing Origin Realm and formed the Yin-Yang True Essence Core, she would surely gain the academy’s attention and training, with a bright future ahead.

Moreover, since Emma Jiang was headed to the capital, they would inevitably meet again, and that day wouldn’t be too far off.

The next morning, Terra Su woke up from a deep sleep, feeling refreshed.

He walked out of his room to the entrance of the Five Treasures Hall.

At that moment, a carriage marked with the Alchemy Guild’s insignia was parked at the entrance, with a coachman standing beside it.

Upon seeing Terra Su, the coachman respectfully stepped forward and bowed. “Young Master Su, please get in the carriage!”

Terra Su boarded the carriage, catching a glimpse of a figure darting away in a distant alley.

Terra Su smirked inwardly, knowing that the Ye Family had likely sent someone to spy on him, planning to strike when he left the Five Treasures Hall. Unfortunately for them, the Alchemy Guild had sent a carriage to pick him up, and they wouldn’t dare touch it.

Inside the carriage, Terra Su noticed that although the exterior was modest, the interior was exquisitely decorated. The horses pulling the carriage were magnificent steeds, running smoothly as if on flat ground. Such a carriage was undoubtedly valuable.

He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. In his previous life in the Cloud Abyss Empire, he hadn’t understood these things. Now, living a second life, he realized that alchemists in the Cloud Abyss Empire were incredibly wealthy.

When the carriage arrived at the Alchemy Guild, Master Mo was already waiting at the entrance. Seeing Terra Su, his face lit up with joy.

“Young Friend Su, this way, please.”

Master Mo led Terra Su into the Alchemy Guild, speaking as they walked. “Young Friend Su, there’s something I need to tell you about today’s promotion day.”

“What is it?”

Terra Su noticed that Master Mo’s expression wasn’t very pleasant and asked.

“Today, several people from the Anyang City Alchemy Guild are coming.” Master Mo said.

“That’s normal.” Terra Su nodded, his expression unchanged. Since it was Clear River City’s Alchemy Guild’s promotion day, it was expected that higher-ranking guild members would come to act as examiners.

“Sigh…”

Master Mo shook his head with a bitter smile. “That’s not the issue. A few months ago, Bruce Sun, seeing how worried I was about the promotion, took it upon himself to invite a second-grade alchemist from Yellow Stone City to temporarily affiliate with our guild and help with the promotion by refining second-grade elixirs.”

“I didn’t know about this until a few days ago when Bruce Sun told me.” Master Mo continued with a bitter smile. “That second-grade alchemist from Yellow Stone City is quite famous, and I didn’t dare tell him not to come, fearing to offend him.”

“Young Friend Su, what should we do?”

“I see.”

Terra Su didn’t think it was a big deal. “It’s fine. Let the second-grade alchemist from Yellow Stone City handle the refining. Just make sure the Panlong Grass is mine.”

Master Mo quickly agreed. “Of course, the Panlong Grass is yours as promised. I wouldn’t go back on my word.”

Terra Su smiled. “Then there’s no problem.”

After all, his sole objective was the Panlong Grass. If someone else was willing to do the refining, it saved him the trouble.

Seeing that Terra Su had no objections, Master Mo felt relieved. He knew that geniuses had their pride and feared that Terra Su might be unhappy about other alchemists helping the Clear River City Alchemy Guild. Now that Terra Su showed no resistance, he was at ease.

The two of them walked through the Alchemy Guild’s hall, went upstairs, and entered a large conference room on the top floor.

In the center of the conference room was a long rectangular table, around which four or five people were already seated. As Terra Su and Master Mo entered, they overheard the conversation.

A fifty-year-old man in a flame-patterned robe looked displeased. “Master Mo said he was going downstairs to pick someone up. It’s been so long, why is he taking so long?”

A middle-aged man with two golden emblems on his chest laughed. “Maybe the person hasn’t arrived yet. Master Wang, please be patient. They should be here soon.”

The flame-robed man, referred to as Master Wang, complained. “The people of Clear River City are too rude. They invited me to help refine second-grade elixirs for their promotion day, yet they invited someone else as well. What does this mean? Are they doubting my abilities?”

The middle-aged man with two golden emblems said, “How could that be? No one doubts Master Wang’s abilities. Even without anyone else’s help, Master Wang could easily refine second-grade elixirs.”

At that moment, the conference room door suddenly opened.

Master Mo and Terra Su walked in, drawing everyone’s attention.

“Hey, Master Mo, didn’t you say you were going downstairs to pick someone up? Where is the person?” someone asked.

“Yes, Master Mo, didn’t you say you invited a highly skilled alchemist to help refine second-grade elixirs? Where is that person?” another person asked, looking around behind Master Mo. “Didn’t they come? That’s a shame. I was looking forward to meeting such a highly esteemed alchemist.”

Master Mo chuckled and gently pushed Terra Su forward. “Everyone, let me introduce you to the master I mentioned, Terra Su!”

“What?”

“Master Mo, you must be joking.”

The people in the conference room looked incredulous and astonished, finally beginning to scrutinize Terra Su carefully.
