Chapter 6 – Some things are more urgent than others, Shirley, you should report the favor first

A Tribulation Crossing stage monk was nothing more than an ant in Evan Chen's eyes.

But Evan discovered that this monk, despite having a bone age of only twenty, not only possessed a Buddha's heart and wisdom roots but also had a Dual Holy Body!

Tsk tsk!

Such talent would be considered top-tier even in the Immortal World.

Killing him would be a real waste.

Because of this, Evan had another plan.

That was to cultivate his own power, to recruit peerless talents in the Cultivation World, solidify their foundations, and once these geniuses ascended to the Immortal World, they would be at his disposal, thereby changing his own status in the Immortal World.

You should know that in the Immortal World, Ascendants are resources that every Immortal Mansion and Spirit Cave scrambles to acquire, and most Ascendants have high expectations. Even mid-tier Immortal Mansions find it hard to retain a top-tier Ascendant without spending a fortune.

The reason lies in their heaven-defying talents; after all, each one is one in a billion, having endured countless tribulations to have the chance to become immortal.

"Thank you for your grace, Immortal. This little demon will never forget it."

This time, Shirley dared not harbor any stray thoughts in her heart and sincerely kowtowed.

"What Immortal? Since you have become my mount, just call me Young Master from now on," Evan said indifferently.

"Yes, Young Master, Shirley understands." Shirley was extremely excited inside, "Um… Young Master, you must have consumed a lot of Essence to shield me from the Heavenly Tribulation today. Shall I serve you as you rest?"

Consumed Essence?

No, not at all.

Evan turned to stare at Shirley.

She looked about sixteen or seventeen, wearing a light green gauze dress, her curves enchanting, a true earthly beauty.

Is she more beautiful with clothes on or without? Evan thought both had their own charm, both were wonderful.

"Whether I rest or not is not for you to decide. From now on, you must act according to my instructions and not make decisions on your own."

Evan's face was stern.

Seeing Evan's stern face, Shirley felt a deep panic from her soul and quickly knelt down to admit her mistake.

Evan did not comfort her; a servant should behave like a servant.

"Get up, I have some questions for you."

After a moment, Evan called Shirley up, ready to understand the general situation of this Cultivation World.

"Young Master, please ask."

Evan nodded slightly and began to inquire about the basic situation.

***

Half an hour later, Evan had asked almost everything.

This realm was called the Cloud Dragon Realm, not the Cultivation World where James Li was originally from.

This place was a corner of Islet Prefecture on the northern shore of the Cloud Dragon Realm, managed by the Three Sects and Eighteen Clans, with the Shining Moon Sect as the leader. It was said that there was a Land Immortal Ancestor in their sect.

Additionally, there were many small forces, demonic cultivators, and demonic cultivators, among others.

"Young Master, it might not be easy to establish a sect here."

When Evan asked how to build a sect here, Shirley was a bit troubled.

"What do you mean?"

Evan frowned slightly.

"As far as Shirley knows, Islet Prefecture has nine major Spirit Mountains, eighteen Spirit Springs, and dozens of Spirit Veins, all occupied by the Three Sects and Eighteen Clans. Without these resources, it would be hard to recruit disciples," Shirley replied.

"No problem, just buy a Spirit Mountain."

"But Young Master, Spirit Mountains are the foundation of each sect, they might not be willing to sell."

"Exactly. If they were willing to sell, I wouldn't feel right taking it by force!"

Shirley was speechless, staring at Evan with admiration. Young Master is so domineering. If you ignore his tattered robe and the dirt on his face, he is actually quite handsome.

"You go negotiate this matter, settle the price first, and then I'll step in." Evan couldn't be bothered to handle such trivial matters himself. As a high-level expert from the Third Immortal Realm, he came to the Lower Realm to enjoy life, not to run errands.

"Yes, Shirley will handle it immediately."

After speaking, Shirley activated her demonic power, preparing to take off.

"Wait a moment."

Evan called Shirley back.

"Young Master, do you have any other instructions?" Shirley blinked her eyes in confusion.

"Um… I mentioned the customs of my hometown to you before, you should know them, right?"

"Customs of your hometown? What cus… Ah, the life-saving grace, to repay with… with my body…"

Shirley's face turned pink, her heart pounding.

"When does Young Master wish for Shirley to repay this grace?" Shirley asked shyly, with a hint of anticipation in her heart.

"Repaying such a grace should not be delayed. I noticed a Cave Mansion on the back mountain, the sooner the better," Evan secretly swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

"Then as Young Master wishes, Shirley will follow you."

Evan used his Immortal Power to wrap Shirley in his arms, her softness and fragrance, delicate and elastic, felt more real than in a dream.

Inside the cave, two hours later.

"Young Master, Shirley should go handle the matter."

"Matters have their priorities. Finish repaying the grace first."

"Young Master, you are so bad."

The next day.

"Young Master, Shirley should go discuss the purchase of the Spirit Mountain."

"What's the rush? The Spirit Mountain won't run away. Go next time."

"Ugh… Young Master…"

***

Seven days later.

"Shirley, go handle the purchase of the Spirit Mountain."

"Young Master, I can hardly move, I need to rest for two days, is that alright?"

Evan looked at the pitiful Shirley and felt a ripple in his heart, wanting to give her another chance to repay the grace.

But unfortunately, this little demon seemed really exhausted.

"Granted."

***

Evan put on his tattered robe, ready to go out for some fresh air.

"Bring me back some nice clothes."

"Shirley understands."

Outside the cave, the sky was clear and bright, and Evan felt refreshed.

These past few days had been truly comfortable.

He now finally understood the bitterness in James Li's heart. With such carefree days, who wouldn't regret going to the Immortal World to toil?

And this little sweetness was just the beginning.

"Once I establish a solid foundation in the Lower Realm and cultivate a large number of Ascendants, I won't have to work so hard when I return to the Immortal World."

Life was getting sweeter and more hopeful.

Evan sat on the edge of a cliff, the breeze brushing his face, watching the clouds roll by, feeling more relaxed than ever in his life.

This is the life an immortal should live.

"When I make it big, I'll buy a top-tier Cave Mansion and bring my grandmother from the village to enjoy life. She will be so happy."

Evan had no parents, he was an abandoned baby.

He was adopted by an old woman from Chen Family Village in the Immortal World, and the two of them depended on each other for survival, living a poor and difficult life.

When he grew up, Evan went out to work. He had been working in the mining area for more than ten years and hadn't been home. He only sent some Immortal Crystals to his grandmother every year.

It wasn't that he didn't want to go back, but the journey was long, and a single teleportation array trip cost no less than a thousand crystals, which he simply couldn't afford.

Just sitting there.

Evan suddenly felt a wave of fatigue and his heart began to feel restless.

"What's going on? Could it be that I've overexerted myself these past few days? It shouldn't be."

After all, he was in the Third Immortal Realm, seven or eight times shouldn't have worn out his body.

"Buzz!"

Suddenly, Evan's mind was shaken, he felt something rapidly draining his Immortal Power.

"Damn, why is the cross-realm stone absorbing my power!"

Evan immediately felt uneasy.

Could it be that he would be swallowed by this cross-realm stone!

Before Evan could think further, a pitch-black door appeared before his eyes, and a fierce force grabbed him, pulling him into the door.

"It's over, it's over."

This was Evan's desperate thought before he disappeared.
