Chapter 79 – The Liu Family Strikes

“Take me to see Lord Qingling.”

In the courtyard, the elder came to the clan totem and prayed devoutly before turning his gaze back to Liu Zishan and asking:

“Does the Chen Clan have any Innate Realm warriors?”

Liu Zishan shook his head:

“I don’t think so, but the Chen Clan has a Sacred Tree. We still don’t know what kind of power it possesses.”

Liu Zishan laid out his plan and recounted what he had discovered during the day to the elder, who merely smiled faintly upon hearing it:

“If there are no Innate Realm warriors, then there’s no need to complicate things.”

“The longer we wait, the more unpredictable things become. Let’s take our people and go tonight.”

“The clan totem won’t last much longer. The sooner we get the Blood Spring, the sooner the totem can be revived.”

Liu Zishan hesitated slightly upon hearing this. After all, they were still unsure of the power of the Chen Clan’s totem, and a rash attack could injure their people.

But thinking of his great-uncle’s realm, Liu Zishan’s last bit of worry vanished.

The power of an Innate Realm warrior was not something the recently revived totem of the Chen Clan could withstand, especially since his great-uncle was no ordinary Innate Realm warrior!

If the Chen Clan truly had such power, they wouldn’t have acted the way they did today.

“Alright, Great-Uncle, please wait a moment. I’ll go gather our people right away!”

In the ancestral hall, Ethan Chen recounted the day’s events to the Sacred Tree and the others listening beneath it, including Benjamin Chen.

At this moment, Benjamin and the others wore solemn expressions.

The Liu Family’s visit during the day likely meant they had discovered the location of the Blood Spring, but they hadn’t revealed the information or offered any benefits in exchange.

This indicated that the Liu Family’s strength was likely beyond their imagination.

From any perspective, the clan was in grave danger.

However, they were merely living souls without physical bodies. How could they help the clan out of this crisis?

Now, they had to rely on the Sacred Tree and the many warriors within the clan.

Hearing Ethan’s account, Noah Ji opened his own panel:

【Name: Noah Ji】

【Race: Shadowy Sophora Tree】

【Vitality: 218.2】

【Supernatural Powers: Eye of Insight, Reversal Pill, One Leaf Hindrance, Soul Condensation, Armor Overlay, Scorched Earth】

【Techniques: Lunar Eclipse, Gathering Yin】

【Combat Skills: Grand Ancestor Long Fist (can pass on techniques once)】

【Qi and Blood: 108 (can be converted to Vitality)】

【Spiritual Power: 19】

【Deduction Points: 4】

【Cannot be deduced】

【Status: Absorbing moonlight…】

In recent days, Ethan had sacrificed several domesticated beasts from the clan, restoring Noah’s Qi and Blood to 108 points, which could be converted into over fifty points of Vitality. Combined with Noah’s absorption of moonlight, his Vitality was now quite substantial.

But if the clan chief’s warriors suffered heavy casualties, this Vitality might not be enough.

With the crisis imminent, it was uncertain when the Liu Family would make their move.

As Noah pondered how to further strengthen the clan, his underground roots suddenly sensed something.

It was a warrior far beyond the Blood Condensation Realm, rapidly approaching the Chen Clan.

Noah was startled and didn’t have time to issue a warning.

The living souls dispatched by Benjamin quickly reported:

“Clan Chief, a large number of Liu Family warriors have been spotted a mile away, rapidly approaching the clan!”

Benjamin’s face turned grim upon hearing this. As a soul, and with Ethan not yet asleep, he couldn’t immediately inform Ethan to prepare the clan’s defenses.

This made Benjamin anxious.

Just as Benjamin was about to pray to the Sacred Tree, many clan members suddenly shouted:

“What’s going on?”

“It’s so hot!”

Hearing the commotion outside, Ethan hurriedly left the ancestral hall to investigate.

As soon as he stepped out, Mason Chen and other Blood Condensation Realm warriors had already arrived.

With serious expressions, they said:

“Clan Chief, the Liu Family is here!”

Ethan was shocked by the news, but this wasn’t the first time. He immediately circulated his Qi and Blood and shouted:

“People of the Chen Clan, follow me to battle!”

His voice echoed through the clan, dispelling the confusion about the sudden heat and prompting everyone to prepare for combat.

However, many clan members were still puzzled.

The clan had been relatively peaceful, and the Liu Family’s clan chief had even visited during the day. Who could the enemy be this time?

Mason and the others were already prepared but lacked confidence in the upcoming battle.

As they headed towards the clan’s outskirts, a sudden surge of memories flooded Mason’s mind.

This unexpected memory caused Mason to pause, but he soon realized that the Grand Ancestor Long Fist, which he had previously struggled to master, had suddenly integrated into his mind.

A hint of joy appeared on Mason’s face. With a battle imminent, any increase in strength was a glimmer of hope.

As Ethan and the living souls left the ancestral hall, only Noah remained.

The recent passing on of techniques was naturally Noah’s doing. At this critical moment, there was no point in holding back the last chance to pass on techniques. Even though mastering the Grand Ancestor Long Fist was only a minor advantage, it was better than nothing.

Just as Noah prepared to use his underground roots to observe the situation outside, a figure suddenly descended from the sky, landing directly beneath the Sacred Tree.

The newcomer was none other than Oliver Chen, known as the strongest in the clan.

When Ethan had arrived at the ancestral hall that night, Oliver had already been sitting on the rooftop outside, eavesdropping and learning about the clan’s current predicament.

With his keen senses, Oliver had also detected a powerful presence nearby, an enemy far beyond his late-stage Blood Condensation Realm.

Despite knowing he was outmatched, Oliver’s eyes showed no fear, only determination.

He was determined to protect the clan!

“Clan member Oliver Chen, please assist me, Sacred Tree!”

With a sincere expression, Oliver bowed to Noah.

As Oliver prayed devoutly, a glowing Sophora leaf suddenly fell.

The leaf was exceptionally bright, illuminating most of the ancestral hall.

When the leaf landed in Oliver’s hand, even he could feel the immense Vitality emanating from it.

It was unlike the previous two Sophora leaves.

He felt as if he were holding a powerful, beating heart!

Oliver bowed again without saying much and leaped out of the ancestral hall, heading towards the outskirts of the clan.

He was a man of few words; his actions spoke for him.

Watching Oliver leave, Noah silently prayed.

He hoped this Sophora leaf would be useful.

To maximize Oliver’s strength, Noah had infused the leaf with 20 points of Vitality using his One Leaf Hindrance supernatural power.

This was nearly a tenth of his current Vitality, four times more than last time! This showed how much Noah was counting on Oliver.
