Oliver Sheng looked at Harrison Zhou, surprised that this thick-browed, big-eyed man had such cunning strategies and a ruthless nature.
It wasn’t just Harrison who was ruthless; his subordinates seemed equally merciless towards these Foreign Tribe members.
For thousands of years, the Central Plains and the surrounding Foreign Tribes had been mortal enemies, constantly at war.
“Ah…”
Before Harrison could count to three, the herdsman couldn’t bear the pressure and charged at the Barbarian soldier opposite him with a shout.
“Thud!!”
The Barbarian soldier looked at his tribesman in disbelief, his eyes gradually losing their light as he fell to the ground.
The herdsman, terrified, dropped his knife and trembled uncontrollably.
“Haha, good, let him go,” Harrison laughed.
Once someone made the first move, the others, in order to survive, would naturally know what to do.
The captured herdsmen watched as the man was really allowed to leave.
The captured soldiers stared blankly at the corpse lying in a pool of blood, once their comrade, brother, and tribesman.
“Go, bring up two more,” Harrison said with a smile, like a hunter taming wolf cubs.
The Barbarian captives looked at Harrison’s smile as if he were a demon, making them shiver with fear.
The next Barbarian captive and herdsman brought up were already terrified by Oliver Sheng. The captive, smelling the fragrant meat, was starving and couldn’t help but swallow.
“Sorry!!” The captive said as he raised his knife to kill the herdsman opposite him.
He wanted to live; he wanted to eat meat.
The herdsman, facing the Barbarian soldier who had been starving for three days, had little resistance and was quickly killed.
These captives were all elite members of various Barbarian tribes, all Martial Disciples or Martial Artists.
The captive, having killed his tribesman, dropped his knife and trembled uncontrollably.
“Good, haha, take him to eat meat,” Harrison said happily, seeing him as a good example.
Not wanting to die, he knew these Barbarians would know how to choose.
The Barbarian captive was taken aside and, in front of the other captives, devoured the meat ravenously.
Seeing the captive eating meat, many in the Barbarian captive army couldn’t help but swallow.
Three days without food, only a little water to keep them alive, starving people could do anything.
Seeing this, Oliver Sheng stopped watching. He knew Harrison’s cruel plan of mutual slaughter had succeeded.
Sure enough, the Barbarian captives and herdsmen fought, with hundreds of herdsmen managing to survive and return. Harrison really did let those who survived go back.
Once they returned, they completely cut off the Barbarian captive army’s path back. They had betrayed and become traitors, and the surviving herdsmen would surely spread the news throughout the Barbarian tribes.
They couldn’t go back!!
In the evening, Harrison reported.
“General, we succeeded, but a few hundred captives died. The rest have defected and become our slave army,” Harrison said.
Oliver Sheng looked at Harrison, nodding with a smile, “Well done. Those captive soldiers are now under your command. Train them well and completely transform them into our slave army to fight the Barbarians.”
“Yes, General,” Harrison replied happily.
With nearly fifty thousand Barbarian slave soldiers, plus his own troops, he now had over fifty thousand soldiers, more than the River West Army.
As the herdsmen fled back!!
The news of the seven Great Grandmasters of the Barbarians dying in battle and the annihilation of their three hundred thousand elite troops quickly spread across the Barbarian grasslands.
“Damn it, my Yanle Tribe’s forty thousand elite, the chief, the Ancestor, all dead?”
“No, this can’t be true. How could a mere ten thousand Wei soldiers defeat our three hundred thousand elite?”
Many Barbarian tribes couldn’t believe the news.
“Our tribe’s Ancestor was a Great Grandmaster. How could he die in battle? Who could kill him?”
“It’s a lie, a cunning plot by the Wei people.”
But when the Barbarians found the battlefield, seeing the ground covered with Barbarian corpses, they were stunned.
The stench of death filled the air, making it impossible to approach. Even wild wolves dared not come near for miles around.
“No, this can’t be true. It’s fake.”
Seeing the hellish scene of mountains of corpses and seas of blood, many Barbarians went mad.
“The Wei people… are invincible…”
“Three hundred thousand elite troops, completely wiped out, seven Great Grandmasters… It’s over, we’re finished.”
With the annihilation of three hundred thousand elite troops and the confirmed deaths of seven Great Grandmasters, the entire Barbarian tribe was in panic.
Such a powerful army, even with seven Great Grandmasters, had been defeated. How could they resist the Wei army?
“There must be a Martial Saint in the Wei army. Otherwise, how could seven Ancestors die?”
“A Martial Saint, who can defeat that?”
“What should we do?”
The nine major Barbarian tribes re-elected their leaders and gathered to discuss how to deal with the Wei army.
…
Oliver Sheng’s forces, having subdued the Barbarian captive army, now had over sixty thousand soldiers.
“Harrison, take your troops and slaughter that tribe ahead,” Oliver Sheng commanded, not resting after subduing the slave army. The next day, he led his army to continue sweeping through the Barbarian tribes.
He wanted to crush the Barbarian tribes so they wouldn’t dare invade the Great Wei border for a hundred years.
“Yes, General!!”
Harrison led his five thousand troops and nearly fifty thousand slave soldiers to charge at the Barbarian tribe ahead.
The defected Barbarian slave soldiers, in their madness, slaughtered their former tribesmen, venting their twisted emotions.
With nearly fifty thousand Barbarian slave soldiers, Oliver Sheng’s forces rampaged across the grasslands, slaughtering countless Barbarian tribes, leaving heads rolling.
Numerous Barbarian tribes fled north in terror.
With guides, Oliver Sheng’s forces were no longer headless flies, wandering aimlessly in search of Barbarian tribes.
One tribe after another fell, and the Barbarian tribes were in a state of panic.
The nine major tribes fled to Shelechuan.
“How can we let the Wei army rampage on our grasslands? This is disgraceful,” the new leader of the Qi Mountain Tribe roared in anger.
“What should we do? Gather our army again and send them to be slaughtered by the Wei army?” the new leader of the Yanle Tribe retorted.
“Those damn traitors, their families should all be executed. I want to tear them to pieces.”
Upon learning that the surrendered captives had defected and become the Wei army’s slave soldiers, slaughtering their tribesmen, countless Barbarians hated the traitors with a passion.
“We can’t let the Wei army rampage on the grasslands anymore, or we’ll lose our homeland.”
“Fleeing north, are we to abandon the grasslands our ancestors left us?”
“The northern environment is harsh and unsuitable for us. We must fight the Wei people.”
Many Barbarian tribes wanted to gather their forces and fight Oliver Sheng’s army to the death.
Of course, some tribes silently migrated north or west.
Oliver Sheng’s forces, like an invincible heavenly army, advanced to Shelechuan.
Shelechuan, the northernmost grassland of the Barbarian territory, beyond which lay the ice-covered northern lands.
Facing Oliver Sheng’s forces, the Barbarian tribes had two choices: fight to the death or flee north or west, abandoning the grasslands their ancestors left them.
Upon hearing that Oliver Sheng’s army had reached Shelechuan, Kaden Yu and the surviving members of his tribe fled west in panic, heading towards the Western Regions.
“General, ahead is Shelechuan, the northernmost grassland of the Barbarian territory. All the Barbarian tribes are now in Shelechuan,” Wesley Hu reported.
Their hearts swelled with pride. Reaching Shelechuan was a monumental honor.
This was an unparalleled military merit, sealing their names in history.
Oliver Sheng’s forces, with their unprecedented strength, were poised to conquer Shelechuan and annihilate the Barbarians, a feat worthy of titles and eternal glory.
